Current Volunteer Needs
Gallery Attendant
Work with staff and customers to help oversee the sales of artwork and classes and the maintenance of gallery spaces. Duties include ringing up sales through a computerized inventory system, greeting customers and students, delivering information about the LUX to customers and students, answering phones, dusting, mopping, packing and processing shipments as well as unpacking new inventory and entering it into the system. Volunteers must have basic computer skills and a friendly disposition. Volunteers will be expected to dress in a presentable, business casual manner. Volunteers receive discounts on merchandise and art classes after being involved with the center on a regular basis. This volunteer position is available for Tuesday-Friday 11-5 or Saturday 10-5 in 3 or 4 hour time slots. Must be able to volunteer on a weekly basis.
