As we enter the holiday season, many of us will be seeking to help someone who is less fortunate. While we may be aware that there is poverty in Lincoln, most of us live comfortable lives and we don't see, nor do we understand the poverty that surrounds us.
Leadership Lincoln invites the community to participate in a Poverty Experience. We guarantee that the evening event will open your eyes, soften your heart, and enlighten your mind about what it's like to live in poverty.
The event is being offered in partnership with the Community Health Endowment's 20th Anniversary Celebration and is one of their 20 events in their 20th year celebrating and promoting healthy lives in Lincoln.
We encourage families to bring their children. The event is designed so that specific roles are assigned to each participant so advanced registration is required and capacity is limited. If you would like to be paired with one or more other participants during the simulation, please note that in the comments box.
