What is redistricting?

Every 10 years, the boundaries for federal, state and other voting districts are adjusted based on new population information from the latest U.S. Census. This process is known as redistricting.

Join us for our first back-in-person Hot Topics from 11:30-1 p.m. July 21 to learn about this process and how you can weigh in. We'll hear from Steven Dunbar from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Kristin Pfabe from Nebraska Wesleyan University to understand how the data are gathered and how the process works. Then we'll hear from Gavin Geis from Common Cause Nebraska, which is engaging Nebraskans over the next few months to provide input on redistricting to ensure the process creates fair districts based on Census data and not related to partisan or personal gain.

**New location!! This Hot Topics will be at Turbine Flats, 2124 Y St. Please park on the street or in the parking lot west of the building and enter south side of building on first floor. Look for the LL Sign!

Please feel free to bring your own lunch. Leadership Lincoln will not offer refreshments.

We will live-stream the presentation portion of the event (11:45am-12:45pm) to Leadership Lincoln's Facebook page. You do not need to have a Facebook account to watch a Live video.
