Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird is seeking nominations for this year's Lincoln Luminary Award, which is presented to an individual who has made a positive impact on the community and demonstrated Lincoln's values. The Lincoln Luminary Award is awarded annually to a resident of the City of Lincoln who has:

  1. Displayed consistent and intentional actions over a lifetime (whether that is 8 years or 80 years) that inspire others;
  2. May be an unsung hero who may not be recognized without this award;
  3. Gone above and beyond in making an impact on the community and its citizens; and
  4. Demonstrated the values of Lincoln. Values include, but are not limited to:
